New Video: One Story, Two Endings
This is the tale of two children, forced to leave their homes without their family, and unable to provide the necessary documents to enter a new country.
Their story represents hundreds of thousands in the same position each year, who are at risk of being detained in immigration detention.
But it doesn’t have to be this way – innocent children do not deserve to be locked up.
There are many ways that children can be managed in the community, without the use of harmful detention.
We are proud to present the video ‘the tale of two children’ explaining the value of alternatives to detention, which cost less and are more successful than detention.
This video was made in collaboration with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the International Detention Coalition. Production was done by Lide Labs, Art Direction from Design Nani and Sound from Steve Souryal.
