Australia campaigns to free 1023 children in detention

Shoppers in Sydney’s Central Business District were in for a surprise last week.

Passers by were asked to “free” a child from a cage filled with dolls to represent the 1023 children currently in Australian Immigration Detention Centres. Run by the Australian Coalition to End Child Detention, it now plans to tour nationally.
