Defense for Children uses the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and all related jurisprudence and other international treaties as a starting point for implementing children's rights and monitoring compliance.

  • Dutch Coalition Against Child Detention

    The No Child in the Cell Coalition was founded in 2006 and consists of Amnesty International, Vluchtelingenwerk Nederland, LOS Foundation, INLIA, UNICEF Netherlands, Kerk in Actie, Stichting Kinderpostzegels Nederland and Defense for Children. The Coalition No Child in the Unit argues for a legal ban on the use of detention for foreigners in children.
