Foundation House

The Victorian Foundation for Survivors of Torture Inc. or ‘Foundation House’ as it is also known, was established in 1987 to meet the needs of people in Victoria who had been subjected to torture or other traumatic events in their country of origin, or while fleeing those countries.

Foundation House is a not-for-profit organisation managed by an elected board. Its work is funded by the Victorian and Commonwealth Governments, charitable trusts and donations from private individuals.

Foundation House’s head office is located in Brunswick, with other offices in Dandenong and Sunshine, an outpost in Ringwood and services in rural and regional Victoria.
